Latest Newsč A number of significant changes to the Australian industrial relations system have been introduced including the introduction of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and the replacement of all Federal Awards with a rationalised system of "Modern Awards" to take effect from the 1st January 2010. CMA has updated the information provided to members and included full information in the members area of the website.
Transitional provisions apply to a number of the changes made and these are
č The 2009 CMA Awards Night held at the Sofitel Melbourne in the Grand Ballroom was a night to remember with the ultimate award going to GMD Architechtural Joinery.

č Launch of the new CMA Major Domestic Building Contract - The recent launch of the CMA's new Major Domestic Building Contract and range of Commercial Documentation by the Minister for Consumer Affairs was hailed a great success with around 130 guests in attendance. The CMA would like to gratefully acknowledge the effort from Albedor Industries in hosting the event.
